Born, raised and lived in the San Francisco East Bay Area until 2013.

Became saved at age 22.

Married to Kathy for 31 years.

Four adult children, three grandchildren..

25-year ministry at First Baptist Church of Castro Valley; serving in High School, children’s and adult ministry. 

25-year career as a Federal Correctional Officer/Counselor/Case Manager at the Federal Correctional Institution, Dublin, CA.

In 2013 earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies with Pastoral Emphasis from Bay Cities Bible College in Oakland, CA.

After retiring from Correctional work, the family moved to Southern California where John earned a Master of Arts degree in Christian Ministry and Leadership from Talbot School of Theology (2018).

Ordained through Transformation Ministries/Aspire Network.

Worked three years as the Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church of Yorba Linda. And simultaneously working four years at the Orange County Rescue Mission as a Case Manager/Pastoral care. 

John is an avid hiker and a woodworker. 

Above all, he loves the Lord and serves wherever he can.
